FAQ's

Q How do I know if this is the club for me?

A If you are committed to a healthy lifestyle and want to meet others with that same commitment, then RRR is definitely for you!

RRR offers a variety of training programs and weekly-organized runs. Join RRR to participate in our 18-week training programs targeting the Fargo Marathon (May 2009). Our membership is “year-round,” so you are welcome to run with us throughout the year, even if you aren't training for a race.

Q How much does it cost to join?

A The annual RRR dues are $30 per year for an individual and $50 per year for a family unit of 2 or more. This allows you complete access to everything we offer, including our weekly runs; training programs; and a multitude of other benefits. Learn more about Membership Benefits in RRR.

Q When do you get together for group runs?

A Our group runs will take place on Saturday mornings. Typically we meet at 6:00 a.m. Groups running longer distances (around 18 miles or more) start earlier in the morning.

Q Where do you meet?

A Most of the time the group runs start and finish at the YMCA Downtown or Y-West in Fargo.   Routes vary, but we will incorporate the best routes available in the Fargo/Moorhead area.

Q Are beginners welcome to join?

A YES! Our club welcomes all levels and abilities.   As you meet new people, you’ll find those with similar paces to yours, and that’s when the camaraderie begins!

Q Can I start by walking?

A Absolutely!  As the saying goes: You have to crawl, before you can walk……you have to walk, before you can run!  For those who are new to the sport, a walk/run method is the best way to begin your journey to becoming a runner.  Our training programs can help you with the methods that incorporate walking intervals into the long-distance runs. This will help you run farther and faster and recover quicker with less chance of injury.

Q Can I bring a friend to run with me?

A Yes….we encourage it!  Have them give us a “test run” for a week and see what they think!
